    New Cresta Products

These are the new Cresta Feeder / Waggler hook length boxes. The principle is simple. There are two sizes of box. The Green winders are 15cm with a 10cm oval loop in the middle. This enable you to make hooklengths of 25cm, 35cm and so on without the need for tape measures and such. The Orange winder box is exactly the same but is 20cm with a 20cm oval loop allowing hooklengths of 40cm, 60cm and so on....you get the idea. Simple and easy. The great thing is the winders from the feeder boxes fit into the original winder boxes for pole hooklengths so you can carry a selection of both in one box.

As well as that we are also bringing out pre tied hooks on the winders ready to go straight into the relevant hook length box. The hooks initially are Gamakatsu Hair Riggers and Hair Rigger Lights with bands and quick stops. The tying is exceptional and Cresta went to Ashley Francis for advice on the tying and having looked at initial samples they are the business. Over time we expect additional Gamakatsu hooks to nylon to be sold this way so the angler can buy them ready tied and put them straight into their Cresta Hooklength Box

The original Hooklengths Boxes are RRP !15.99 and the New Feeder / Waggler Hooklengths Boxes are RRP £16.99. The winder with hooks will be RRP £3.99 for 8 hooks on the winder.

    Mark Murdoch ( Cresta Match U.K. )

" On a personal note I have used the hook length boxes and they are an extremely tidy way to keep your hook length and the modular system of being able to move individual winders is for me great as I visit many diverse venues over a 12 month period in the U.K. and abroad. The loop in the feeder / waggler winder boxes is so simple, allowing you to make your hooklengths precise without the need for measuring , or in my case a long piece of wood with various pins in it ! Some people look at the loop and think it will be fiddly. I assure you its not and I myself was sceptical when i received the first sample. I don't get excited about a lot of things these days , but after tying hooklengths for Holland after 15 minutes I even emailed Arjan Klopp , the designer , to tell him it was a genius idea. The other thing I like about it is I can see into the box. You can see in the pic that they have written directly onto the winder. I would not do this. I have a load of white sticky labels which go on the bottom of the winder and I can read them and find what I want. If i need to reuse that winder i can just replace the sticky winder. Another thing people say is that they are not sealed. The simple answer is if they were you will seal moisture in and you will compromise your hooks and lines

If you have any questions about them do not hesitate to put them up and I will do my best to answer them. "

Where these will score heavily is we all have winder trays on our boxes  having an extra module on the stack solely for hooks would tidy things up for me
